History of Technology in Science

There is so much more to discover that the naked eye can't see.

  1. I completely agree! Without the telescope, science would be so limited. How can students really learn and understand a field where most of the magic is too small to see with the naked eye?

  2. Hello Suzana,

I love this picture and tag line. The world that we can see and study in front of us is so vast but the microscope opens us up to an greater part of our world which would go unknown without such an amazing device. The microscope also brings to life pictures that you see in textbooks and allows each student to come in contact and work with material in an hands-on matter which makes learning more interesting and beneficial for the student.

  3. Great picture. There's so much more to see beyond the naked eye, and this principle extends to beyond the microscope and science. It lends itself to reading, arts, and all types of different disciplines, because often there is so much more in a work of art or a piece of writing that takes really digging deep to uncover, and upon doing so an entire world that was unseen to us before can be revealed.

  4. Great picture, the microscope added so much to science in schools. This allowed students to learn about a new tool and it allowed them to view things that the naked eye cannot see. It was often very exciting when students heard that they would be using a microscope in class. It taught students many different things. They needed to learn how to focus on an image, understand what they are seeing, and analyze it scientifically. You caption fits the picture perfectly.

  5. I completely agree, there are so many fantastic things on the microscopic level that we cannot see ourselves. I always loved using the microscope in labs so i could see the ting cells, moving or dividing, or eve our cheek cells from simple swabs! Such an amazing invention that everyone could use and enjoy!

  6. Nice picture! It made me immediately think of The Circle of Life "There's far too much to take in here...more to find than can ever be found." But, obviously Disney was wrong! Science is going to find everything there is to find! Your picture is the technology that helped develop so many breakthroughs in science. Without it we would know extremely little about biology, cells, viruses, etc. Beside magnification, I wonder what another important science based technology would be.
